There are divergent views regarding the best method of studying, with one school of thought suggesting that remote education is the most useful. However, others claim that face-to-face learning is more effective. While I acknowledge that digital learning saves money and time, I believe that offline classrooms improve discipline and help students make friends.
Admittedly, studying online can present two undoubted advantages, one of which is reducing expenses, since students do not need to spend money on transportation, food, and presentable outfits. This is especially favorable for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, who cannot readily afford more expensive offline classes. These benefits can facilitate the learning process for students, regardless of their socio-economic status. Additionally, e-learning saves time by removing the need for traveling school or university. Learners can attend classes from home, therefore, they do not waste time on transport and can use that time for more productive activities.
Despite these arguments, I remain convinced that in-person classes are still more considerable. First and foremost, it helps students improve their discipline. This is because they have to attend classes at a fixed time every day, which builds a routine. Being in a classroom with other students can also motivate them to behave better and study harder. Furthermore, in offline courses, students have a higher chance of making friends because they study in the same physical place and interact face-to-face. Since they share similar goals, such as preparing for exams or learning new skills, communication happens more naturally. If two students do not understand the same grammar topic, they may start helping each other after class. They can study together or practice exercises.
In conclusion, although digital classrooms have an edge in terms of saving time and money, I feel that traditional classrooms are, and will remain, a better choice thanks to their unmatched advantages.
