It is often debated whether the government should allocate funds for art, such as sculpture and installations in outdoor areas. I strongly agree with this statement that local government authorities should spend money to support the arts.
First and foremost, the sculpture and other types of art create a more vibrant environment. Also, it shows the aesthetic quality of urban areas, which improves the visualisation of the city and province. Furthermore, it can be one of the attractive things for tourists, which represents the cultural heritage and identity of their country’s ethnic groups. For example, many European countries still keep the arts such as sculpture outdoors, which represent their histories and symbols of remnant of the past. Those kinds of arts are enhanced by the government, and some of them are rebuilt with government funding.
In addition, enhancing art sculpture may attract many visitors each year, which improve help for boosting local economy. Spending money on art sculpture is costly; however, the final result on that return to the local areas, which enhances citizens’ lives and raises awareness among the youngest generations about cultural heritage.
In conclusion, allocating money for enhancing and creating arts such as sculpture in the city not just enhances the aesthetic quality of the city but also strengthens cultural identity and stimulates economic activities.By making art a central part of urban development, governments can create vibrant, attractive, and livable cities for current and future generations.
