It is often argued that a good amount of training is needed to become a good teacher. While some people firmly believe that, it can be gradually horned with time. In my view, a tutor should have a basic understanding of necessary skills that can not be obtained from experience. In this essay, we will discuss both sides of the argument and provide insight about why I believe training is needed.
Some people argue that, teaching is a skill that can be only learned through practise. They believe that, more a person spend time in teaching, the better he or she become. For example, the managing of a class, maintaining class decorum, and inventing new methods according to types of students this all a teacher can only learn through daily class experiences. Nevertheless, this view is flawed because,experience alone can not guarantee good teaching. Without proper fundamental training a teacher can not handle the class full of students and may be have difficulities in how to apply teaching methodology or grading od students, and many more. Also there is a risk of developing bad habis of giving education without proper guidences of intial coaching.
On the other hand, I firmly believe that root knowldege of anything is very essential for growth of a person. In this case, Primary knowledge and understanding of teaching is very helpfull to sharpen skill of a tutor over the long peroid of time. A fully trained teacher knows how to make the students comfortable to ask any questions in the class. In other words, it makes teacher fully confident in the class. Without proper training, a teacher might face difficulties in explianing concepts, managing good environment in the class, and adapting new methods of learning.
In conclusion, although both viewpoints have their own merits, it is clear that fundamental teaching skills should be practised and then with the time a teacher can enhance those skills.
