Financial stability of a country being a major factor in its citizens’ source of happiness is not a lie. While many might agree to the given statement for a series of reasons, including indifference as a consequence of satisfaction, others, myself not excluded, mostly disagree to this reasoning for a number of factors can disprove it.
Further economical achievements on a national level no longer causing excitement in one after a nation has officially become wealthy may cause controversial beliefs. A group of people think the appeal may die primarily due to satisfaction-based indifference. An example of this concept can be thoughts of residents, such as any following financial win being inevitable from that point on or the sense of relief from the possibility of a less challenging future making it impossible to process happiness in a way it used to feel.
On the contrary side, some do not support this claim to the fullest. I personally think of any goal achieved as a win and apply the same logic to a nation. For instance, 10% increase of minimum wage should still be celebrated without context being needed on that mentioned country. In addition, as many times, the quality of life might start having positive shifts rise after rise in the economical sense. Thus, my point stays no matter the size and achievement for the entire country, even if the financial situation is stable, should be celebrated with immense joy.
Concluding the discussion, I strongly believe that both sides present arguments for the matter. However, my faith stays with the idea of economical accomplishments being acknowledged nonetheless of the finance. Therefore, I hope in the near future we may witness this uplifting outcome more and more.
