It is conventionally accepted by society to consider that youths do not understand world of work and schools should be involved in ensuring pupils spend little time working and studying. I totally disagree with this statement.
Firstly, schools pay a little attention to teaching, that is why the main problem is duration of studying. The more time students spend on studying particular subjects, the more knowledge they will have, required for a certain kind of work. Moreover, not enough time spent for a special topic. For example, teachers may explain a specific concept of math as it seems to them good enough, but students did not comprehend because they need more time to be spent for this. Therefore, this is the one of the major factors, that influence students’ understanding, and school employees should pay more attention to a particular topic if students did not fully figure it out.
Secondly, an equally significant issue is lack of practice. Nowadays, young generation is addicted to believe that only knowledge and proper education will live up to their expectations. But not less important role is played by teachers, who have to make their apprentices practice knowledge they have acquired during the classes. In addition, students should be interested in self-practice, because lessons at school not always enough to hone their skills. For instance, teenagers should do self-organisational and self-motivational actions to obtain better outcomes in their future job. In this case, teachers have to support their students, whereas learners must motivate themselves in order to reach particular aims they want.
In conclusion, there are two factors that are considered to play a key role in children’s understanding of the world of work.
