On the one hand, there are some reasons why people think air pollution can be reduced if we have an international car-free. Their first reason is that an international car-free day can greatly contribute to improving quality of air. They think this is because with fewer car in the road, there will be a decrease in toxic gas release out, which make the air cleaner and fresher. Their second reason is that celebrating the car-free day can help raise public awareness about air pollution. Many people argue that it reminds each individual about the harmful effects of using cars too much on the environment.
On the other hand, I still believe that there are some ways to reduce air pollution. Firstly, improving public transportation systems may be a more effective solution to air contamination. To explanation, investing in efficient and accessible public transport will encourage people to use them instead of private vehicles. Secondly, another approach is to encourage the use of electric vehicles. I think this is because there are no CO2 emissions when these means of transport are operate.
