In a fast-changing and unpredictable world, some people argue that looking toward future life is a less effective use of time than enjoying the present moment. I completely disagree with this statement because planning is crucial on both personal and financial sides.
To begin with, planning for a time ahead helps people to carry out a schedule for setting clear goals and gives them direction. Without a plan, individuals may make decisions that only benefit them at the moment but cause problems such as later. For instance, many students after finishing primary school choose their university courses based on their scores, not based on their desires. If they do not think about their future, they might end up studying something that does not match their skills or job opportunities. Thus, making plans permits people to work step by step towards a meaningful and successful life.
Furthermore, planning ahead is essential for financial security. In other words, modern life is full of unexpected events, such as medical emergencies and sudden unemployment. People who plan by saving money or buying credit insurance are better prepared for these difficult situations. On the other hand, those who only focus on the present may spend their money carelessly and face financial accidents later. This shows that planning is not a waste of time but a responsible way to protect oneself.
Taking everything into consideration, I strongly disagree with the idea that planning is a poor allocation of time. Careful planning helps individuals achieve their goals and stay financially secure.
