Certain individuals are of the opinion that goverment should concentrate on metigating environment pollution and accommodation issue to avoid illness and diseases . While i agree that reducing pollution and housing problems can prevent certain diseases , i also belive that authorities need to spend on awarness and on healthcare for other diseases.
First of all , the environmental problems and housing conitions are two main sources for illness and diseases . For instance , in many parts of our country , people live in slums and don’t have the portable access for water and proper sanitation facilities . Because of this , many people in these areas suffer from diseases such as dengue , malaria , diarrhoea and so on . These diseases can be prevented if goverment provieds basic housing , with access to clean drinking water nad toilets . Similarly , many lung ailments like asthma are caused due to air pollution and controlling pollution and reduce their incidence.
However , simply focusing on environmental and housing can not prevent all disease . Goverment alsoought to allocate budget for preventable diseases such as polio and TB , cough , mumps and so on, which need immunization . Moreover ,there are diseases like cancers which can be preventd by screening tests . Such test can diagnoes the diseases much before the actual symptoms appear and in such early stages. These cancess are totally curable and relatively inexpencive to treat as well.
Furthermore , today , a lot of people suffer from lifestye diseases like diabetes and obesity . The only solution to this illness is lifestyle modification or in other word .a change in diet and more time for exercise . So , giverment needs to focus on creating awarness about the benefit of nutritious diet and the harmful effects of fast food . As well as , goverments should take steps to encourage people to adopt more physical activity in their daily routines by building healthcare centers and gyms .
In conclusion , i reiterate that simply giving priority to environmental pollution and housing will not prevent all diseases . Goverment should allocate funds to screening test ,vaccination and awarness of the people also to prevent disease .
