Many citizens believe that environmental pollution and housing problems are responsible for various human health issues, and that the government should take action to address these concerns for a better world and healthier lives. I strongly agree with this statement.
From a broader perspective, there are two main reasons contributing to environmental pollution. Firstly, vehicles are a significant source of air and noise pollution. The number of vehicles is increasing year by year. Every minute, vehicle emissions release millions of tons of carbon dioxide due to the use of fuel, oil, and traffic congestion. For example, Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, ranks second in the world for pollution, primarily because of its traffic jams and high population density. While recent innovations, such as Tesla’s electric vehicles, are more environmentally friendly, they are still not sufficient to significantly reduce air pollution, as they are only used in a limited number of countries and by a smaller percentage of the population.
Secondly, inadequate housing is a major concern when it comes to pollution and public health. Many people are cutting down trees to build homes and industrial facilities, which results in an increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Consequently, people are suffering from shortness of breath and other health problems. Additionally, plastic bags, bottles, and toys pose a significant threat to environmental health. Pollution from these plastics is prevalent in mud, rivers, and oceans. As a result, agricultural output is declining, and fish populations are being adversely affected by various viruses.
Finally, the government can play a crucial role in addressing these issues through proper measures. This could include developing new modern technologies and implementing various environmentally friendly regulations, as well as promoting awareness through social media, television, banners, and posters. Citizens are likely to follow government directives, so it is essential for the government to actively work towards solving these problems.
In conclusion, I believe that the government and local authorities can create a cleaner, pollution-free world and promote healthier living by addressing housing and environmental pollution.
