It is true that some people believe that the history does not play a cruical role, whilst others think learning the past helps us to comprehend and create new possibilities for today’s life. I believe that it is truly vital to help the present for many reasons.
Initially, some people believe that history is all about past mistakes and spending more time on it is a waste of time. As a result, these people discourage the inclusion of history in the school curriculum. Instead, they emphasise the requirement of of other subjects like science, mathematics and languages. Becuase in most people’s perspective the purpose of education is to accomplish career goals in technical and business sectors. For example, science and technology; modern economics; medicines and research, by which the youth can help the world with better and improved facilities and help in shaping the future.
Despite this, others, myself included, feel that history has a strong connection with the present. Comparison between the past and the present makes people understand how this world has changed over time. The knowledge about those is a must for the present generation as they can learn about leadership and courage, about science and other universal from the theories of Einstein, Newton and others, for example. Further, emphasizing on the research and theoris developed in history, a number of modern developments would have been impossible without their knowledge, if the past was neglected. For instance, the creation and thoughts of the ancestors help the world become advanced. Researchers who is creating new medicine with the help of old studies and experiments conducted by old scientists.
In conclusion, there are numerous reasons why some people say that studying history is not necessary. In the modern world, I strongly believe that history plays an important role in society and among people both for the present and the future.
