Nowadays, many individuals believe that critical decisions should be made by AI rather than humans. I believe that artificial intelligence should be used to assists people make decisions rather than replace them because AI lacks of human qualities such as empathy.
On the one hand, many people may support the idea of AI making all the big decisions and that is due to multiple reasons. Firstly, artificial intelligence can have access to a lot of data and information in a short period of time; therefore, it can be faster and more productive than humans. Furthermore; sometimes humans can make decisions based on emotions and feelings; therefore artificial intelligence can reduce humans biased and bad judgement. For instance, most people had made at least once in their lives
an important decision such as leaving their jobs when they were under pressure as a result they are now regretting these choices.
On the other hand, I don’t believe that we should totally depend on AI with decision making due to the essential need for human morals that AI lacks.Therefore; a viable use to artificial intelligence would be to assist humans making important decisions by giving them the data and information that they might miss or need about the subject. For example, many doctors nowadays use AI by making it analyze images; therefore, they can detect diseases in early stages. Furthermore, these developed tech can’t always make the right decisions as they sometimes depend on incorrect sources;moreover, it lacks fundamental human qualities such as empathy competition; therefore it can’t always make moral decisions.
In conclusion, many people argue that AI should be used to make all the critical decisions. I don’t agree with this view, though AI can be used to help humans making decisions it can’t displace them because it lacks empathy. Therefore; I believe that AI should be used to support humans decision making; moreover, giving them information and ideas that can help them make the right choise.
