How to educate children in the right way is one of the most controversial issues that almost every parent has to experience. There are two different sides to this debate, with traditional parents arguing that they should strictly follow their children and others think that children should not be strictly under their parent’s guidance. This essay will examine both sides of the matter consider and present the author’s perspective.
On one hand, young children are not developed enough so they are often clueless, which leads them to several dangers. For that reason, parents have to pay attention to the kids and look after them all of the time. To illustrate, young children tend to play around without any safety methods such as using knife as a toy and have no idea how dangerous that is. For many cases, if kids do not have any intervention from their parental figure, they can easily have badly injured. Nowadays, with the development of the Internet, many applications have been invented for entertainment that will distract children from studying or cause negative effects. Having children watching online social media without careful filtration will lead them to pick up bad habits and foster negative behavior. Tiktok is an example, many kids who are addicted to rolling those short videos often catch some of the nonsensical content, inappropriate types of videos for children under the age of 16 such as violence or sexual content.
On the other hand, many of the modernism parents use other methods to give their children more freedom to grow up. Firstly, modernisms do have many things to care about, career is one of them. Nowadays, individuals who are working from 9 to 5 do not have much time for their family, which means their children will be independent and have to grow by their own feet. Moreover, when children can take advantage of having the freedom to experience and make mistakes would be great for them. For example, children can learn what are they into and decide who are they going to have fun with. It is undeniable that children’s creativity can be promoted when playing whithout parent’s guidance. This happened because when having more freedom, they can learn how to slove problem more quickly as they face by their own ways
To summarise, each parent has their own ways to educate children. However, I think having strict guidance would be an unwise method for young children and it would also limit children from adequate growing up
