Nowadays, many people assert that if children are controlled by their parents, they will develop more than peers. While others believe that a child can succeed, my parents should provide a private space so they can create with their ideas and expand horizons. Each idea has its own validities and in this essay, I will discuss both views before reaching my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are many reasons to explain why parents should supervise their children’s activities. First and foremost, parents who are mature and old enough to know positive or negative activities that have serious consequences for children’s development. For example, if they aren’t parental monitoring, they can become addicted to gaming to lead to arguments and conflicts between parents and their offspring. Moreover, to supervise their children, parents must devote a huge amount of time to take care of them so this has a positive impact on family relationships.
On the other hand, children can become mature if they have enough experience so parents should create a space for young children. When they aren’t limited in area, they can experience significant changes in mood, feelings and behavior that helps children be better prepared to deal with the problems of adult life. Moreover, children under parental guidance have to learn how to cook, clean, pay bills and make their own decisions, lead to become more independent. Furthermore, parents should allow their children to take part in interactive activities to develop community skills and avoid feelings of loneliness and isolation.
In conclusion, I believe that parents should give their children space to develop and explore themselves while still providing support and supervision.
