There was an argument about whether the truth should always be told in such circumstances. Many people believe that telling the truth is not always essential. However, in some cases, lying is the only option, and honesty is not. I agree with this statement, since integrity and morality can sometimes only damage the relationship.
Telling a falsehood can have a serious impact on a person’s life, both positively and negatively, and can tremendously damage the bond between people. Sometimes, lies are good, and people prefer not to hurt another in a good term. For instance, a couple hides the real issues in their relationship, which causes hardship, rather than face difficulties; they choose white lies to strengthen their relationship and keep each other close. Furthermore, these lies play a vital role in their lives.
Whereas the intentions behind lies are good, they still display unreality and betrayal. However, honesty is a significant sign of a person’s ethical character and morality, which represent them. If an employee lies to his mentor for a holiday and the truth is somehow discovered, the honesty is broken, and the employer may be laid off from his job.
