There is a widespread belief that balanced nutrition and consistent training have no connection to good health and longevity. Nonetheless, numerous scientific studies have shown a clear link between a clean diet and regular physical exercise, and a healthy, long life.
I agree with this scientific claim to a certain extent. However, it is worth noting the fact that some individuals end up living shorter, even if they stick to a diet and exercise. These situations might occur when an individual decides to overdo their training and start taking anabolic steroids or other scientifically dangerous supplements. Therefore, these aspects result in not just a non-improvement of life quality, but even shorter and unhealed lives. That is because consuming drugs for bodybuilding purposes targets the central nervous system directly, resulting in reduced brain function; hence, the state of the entire body ends up in poor condition, posing a risk of several diseases such as diabetes, heart attack, cancer, etc.
Despite these concerns, constant physical training and a healthy diet are proven to deliver positive impacts, especially if one’s problem is obesity or vice versa, if a person’s weight is below normal. Through proper diet and frequent physical activity, people can lose excess weight, which is mainly fat that is stored in their bodies and called visceral fat, which, if over the border of normality, could bring some severe illnesses. In addition, frequent or daily exercise provides an opportunity to obtain muscle mass, which is considerably vital for everyone’s well-being, in terms of both health and feeling confident in your own body.
To conclude, individuals should engage in both physical training and eating healthy foods, without going to extremes. I believe that if people manage a balanced approach to diet and workout routines, they are likely to achieve health and enjoy a longer life.
