Since ancient times, animals played an important role in mankind history. But as the technology improved over years, it became easier and more affordable to get nutrition. This raises a question, should we still eat animals and use their cloth or treat them as friends. In my opinion, it’d not be a problem if we still keep using animals as sources of food and clothing, as their benefits don’t have a sufficient substitute and if we can manage them with regulations and agriculture, they won’t go extinct.
There is a general misunderstanding that humans can live fully healthy if they went totally vegan. But yet veggies cannot provide the nutrients and vitamins like the animal meat do. Of course, my opinion doesn’t support that we should slaughter and eat every animal, but there are several animals, especially the cattle, are really necessary for human health. The animal-based clothing is also priceless. The wool from sheep can be the most underestimated asset that people use, the cloth from wool is used both in cold and hot temperatures.
Also, if we can manage to control the quantity of the animals with effective farming and regulating the quotas especially in fishing, we can definitely make sure that with utilizing animals, we won’t cause their extinction. With this way, we can meet the market demand among society without depleting animals’ quantity.
In conclusion, we can use animals as nutrition and clothing with effective and regulated ways as they have priceless positive effects for humans.
