Band 5+: Some people think that by educating people about the problems of eating too much fast food has no effect and that other measures should be taken to tackle this issue. What is your opinion?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The trend of consumption of fast food is continuously going upward which leads to various health-related problems such as obesity, food poisoning, and other issues. In the 21st, century the immunity of people is becoming very weak because of improper diet, unhealthy food habits, and not having a balanced diet.

The awareness of this problem is important to address by each and every individual as well as by the government. Traditional methods such as news articles, television advertisement and magazines are not enough to spread awareness about downside of eating excessive fast food. As there is a development is technology and social media, the government should organized offline as well as virtual campaign to spread information about misleading practices releated to selling and consumption of fast food. Government should reduced tax on healthy and nutritious food and should increase tax on fast food items, so that people are more inclined towards purchasing healthy food.

Government should take strict action against the vendors who don’t follow rules and regulations set by the food authority. At an individual level, social media influencers who have millions of followers can spread awareness about the negative effect of excessive eating of junk food.

In my opinion, I think we can use innovations such as AI and Machine Learning in some way to enhance the thinking of people not to have processed food, the government should partner with private food companies and startups to launch healthy food items.
