It is said that, nowadays, some people argue that competition should taught in children, while others believe that cooperation is more beneficial than compete. In this essay, I am going to delve into pros and cons of this issue and give my own opinion.
On the one hand, some people support that competition is vital for on children’s success life. First and foremost, it could be argued that competition helps enhance motivation and offers a sense of fulfillment. For instance, children in the private schools take part in competitions to compete with other children. Moreover, according to the research of scientists, competition causes egoism in individuals for a long time. Therefore, nowadays, some children are beginning to feel envy.
On the other hand, some people have a belief that the drawbacks are outweighing the positive impacts of the competition and teach children to cooperate better. Cooperation is a positive social motive, and it is equally significant as competition in motivating a person to reach the goal. For instance, in our home, my parents never encouraged any competition between us siblings they always highlighted our own unique skills and talents and allowed us to share our knowledge with one another without any tinge of jealousy.
In conclusion, as everything has negative and positive sides. However, as far as my opinion is concerned, teaching children to cooperate is beneficial in honing a useful and mature individual.
