Some people believe that in the lesson children should use technology. However, others that traditional teaching methods are more effective. Although the use of technology can sometimes distract students, I believe that it provide a more convenient and effective way of learning .
On the one hand, traditional teaching approaches have several important benefits. Teachers can interact with students directly and immediately identify the areas where they are struggling. Moreover, children pay full attention to the lesson because they are less likely to be distracted by other things. For example, many students struggle with science subjects. During traditional teaching, students can ask directly and teacher can explain difficult concepts and support them. Furthermore, this approach provides classroom discussions, note taking, debating, and face-to-face explanation. As result, students develop critical thinking, communication skills and networking.
On the other hand, technology provides significant benefits in the learning process. In the new method of teaching, teachers can use digital tools in the lesson, which make difficult concepts easier to understand. For example, in the science lesson, students can use animations or visualizatons to understand complex topics such as movement of atoms. Moreover, some of schools cannot povide full laboratory of work, teachers and students can use virtual laboratories. In the virtual laboratory work, children make a mistake, restart again until full understanding. Therefore, students can take on the role of researcher, and develop skills that a beneficial in today’s world. For these reasons, I believe that use of technology in the lesson is more effective.
In conclusion, in the traditional teaching, teachers can directly engage with students and students fewer distractions, while technology can make learning process more useful and understandable. I believe that using technology in the classroom is more effective because it help students understand complex topics and develop their research skills.
