The phenomenon of using bicycles on a daily basis has significantly increased around the world. As a result, it is suggested that bike riders should be tested to be allowed to use bikes. In my opinion, it is a great suggestion that must be followed for two main reasons which will be further discussed in this essay.
To begin with, the first reason for supporting this idea is that with the enormous increase in the population, the existence of some regulating laws that should be imposed are a must. When governments put rules and tests for users, this will help in organizing the traffic system and making the movement of the individuals much easier. For example, the Dubai Government has put certain regulations concerning riding a bicycle starting from a test to be a cyclist to special stops for the bicycles to be stopped. Thus, having a rule that governs bike riders is a great step that should be considered.
The other reason is related to safety issues. If someone who uses a bike follows certain strategies and systems starting from using the specified part of streets, to wearing suitable clothes like the helmet, this, for sure, will help in reducing the number of accidents noticeably. For instance, in Dubai, individuals who want to ride a bike have to do that in special parts of the city, while being obliged to wear protective items to protect themselves as well as other people.
To conclude, depending on bikes in moving is a preferred option by many nowadays. Therefore, I believe that passing a test successfully before utilizing bicycles is a good idea that has positive impacts on society and the safety of its citizens.
