Improving public amenities is of great importance. Some people believe that the main investment of the government should be on public facilities rather than arts. I think spending more money on making the quality of public places would be better for two reasons.
Firstly, in today’s world with growing population, there is more crucial need for public spaces. If such amenities are not improved, individuals may suffer from certain problems. In other words, public amenities include parking lot and buses and so on. For example, if buses do not function on time, people need to wait too long for buses and spend much more money on personal cars.
Secondly, improving the quality of public amenities can contribute a significant amount of money to the country’s economy. As a matter of fact, public cars carry thousands of passengers per day, making a profit. If the government invest in them, this investment attract other passengers, leading to more profit. For example, a few decades ago, many bus aervices were of bad quality; noone used them in my local town. However, recently our village authority made some changes and now most peple are using them.
In conclusion, not only is improving the quality of public spaces required in today’s world with high population, it is also usefull to the country’s economy. Therefore, I totally agree that improved public amenities should be on government’s focus.
