In the contemporary world, the controversy surrounding environmental issues has been a prominent topic. While many individuals believe that houses should be constructed in the unoccupied spaces for better living in terms of cost, others suggest building public gardens, preferably for fresh air and a better environment. From my perspective, it is a good idea to set up parks instead of housing societies.
Firstly, there is not enough safety for people in those areas. Considering the conditions of empty areas, for instance, soil resources have been exploited to build residences previously, making it difficult to build houses there. Despite being a cost-effective and affordable housing society, it is not worth risking your life. Secondly, it is very inconvenient for people to access the road because mostly empty places are often far from cities. If they decide to construct those infrastructures, it would be very expensive.
Consequently, global warming is increasing frequently and making the lives of people very miserable. However, planting trees gives the environment fresh air; furthermore, it can be beneficial for humankind. For example, planting trees will improve people’s health and well-being. Australia has implemented a law regarding the construction of public parks in open areas, resulting in a lower number of respiratory and cardiac diseases. Apart from this, they can be considered a suitable ecosystem for tourism and will make their economy strong.
In conclusion, while residents of cities like to build residential societies in vacant areas, I still maintain my strong agreement with the statement that the development of parks in open areas brings more benefits to the people and the government as well.
