Some people think that intelligence is something people are born with, while others believe that it can be improved through learning. In my opinion, although natural ability is important, people can become more intelligent if they study and gain experience.
On the one hand, there are good reasons why some people think intelligence is innate. Everyone is born with different abilities, and some people seem to learn much faster than others. For example, Mozart showed great musical talent when he was very young. In addition, some children are able to solve difficult math problems or learn languages more easily than their classmates. Because of these differences, many people believe that intelligence mainly comes from genetics and cannot be changed very much.
On the other hand, I believe that intelligence can be developed through education and practice. When people learn new things, they improve their knowledge and thinking skills. For instance, many students who perform poorly at school can get much better results after studying hard and receiving help from their teachers. Another example is Thomas Edison. Although he did not do very well in school when he was young, he later became a famous inventor because he continued learning and working hard. Moreover, reading books, solving problems, and gaining new experiences can help people think more effectively and make better decisions. Therefore, intelligence is not completely fixed.
In conclusion, while some people may naturally have higher intelligence than others, I believe that learning and experience can help people become smarter. For this reason, intelligence should be seen as a combination of natural ability and personal effort.
