Some people argue that having a global language is sufficient for every country whilst other think that it causes disappearance of native culture in later life. Firstly, this essay will describe the importance of English language, then discuss about the need of a native dialect before embarking my opinion.

Referring to the lucerative effects of having international language as a single language, first and foremost feature of having global language for a single dialect, as people become familiar with the international language, they do not have to face difficulties during conversation with foreign people while going to abroad. Another important feature is, since individuals may learn foreign language at their early stags, they do not need to put efforts to learn it in their later life. For example, according to survey conducted in the United Kingdom, toddlers learn English language at their primitive years as it is their native language. Hence, they do not need to learn global language separately.

However, replacing native language with the international dialect have some drawbacks, such as loss of culture and tradition. Firstly, native language has been disappearing in many countries due to preference given to global language by local people. People become attracted toward the Western culture, which further leads to adoption of Western culture and loss of local tradition, language Secondly, if all individuals speak official language, then, it will be a daunting task to identify the someone’s background. To exemplify this, according to the article in Tribune newspaper, in Canada, most of the computers speak English language. Hence, it is difficult to recognize their native country.

In conclusion, although adopting global language as a native dialect of any nation can be beneficial, but I believe that native language culture should be preserved, and international languages should teach as second or third subject in schools.
