It is generally accepted that we all need leisure time to escape from the daily stresses. Spending leisure time to the fullest is the key to have good physical and mental health.
Many prefer to do something meaningful like reading magazines, doing outdoor activities, some argue that it’s best to take a brain break during leisure time. From my perspective, I prefer to be active during this time. However, what we do with our leisure time is up to us and no one can say that any particular activity is the best.
Some people relax by watching movies, reading magazines, or surfing the internet. People who have physically demanded jobs may prefer these types of activities. If you are a builder, you may feel that you don’t want to go jogging or even walk after work, because you are already physically tired.
People who do sedentary jobs may have opposite perspectives, they desire outdoor activities because of their work, which include long-sitting times. Computer engineers, for example, may spend all day sitting in front of a computer screen. At the end of the working day, they may be keen to stretch their limbs and improve their physical health by swimming or going to the gym.
In conclusion, it may differ from a person to another how they should use their spare time, hence each one might be doing his own preferred activity. Nevertheless, a serious look should be given to one’s leisure time in order to be benefited from it to the uttermost.
