In this modern era, plenty kinds of jobs are available widely in many countries which offer different benefits for their employees. Some companies offer their workers permanent jobs but give them high-pressure work, while other companies give certain conveniences rather than job security. Therefore, this essay will discuss both types of working benefits and argue that job satisfaction is more essential than job security.

On the one hand, there are several advantages and disadvantages of giving a permanent job to employees. First of all, it will give them the certainty of employment status, such as salary and insurance. As a result, this condition leads the workers to become perpetual workers, and the company should not have to hire a new employee every year. Secondly, this working type is an indicator of the good financial condition of the company, as it can guarantee employment status and can contribute positively to the economic growth of the country. However, a permanent job does not guarantee that the employees will get job satisfaction. Some companies require their workers to work over their obligation time, and even they should work on weekends or holidays. Consequently, it will impact negatively on workers’ mental as they do not have time to enjoy their lives.

On the other hand, working with enjoyment without pressure offers more benefits. First and foremost, although employees might not have a permanent job, it can guarantee that they will have good mental conditions. It is not only because pressures at work are minimal but also because they have enough leisure time or spend holidays with their family. Furthermore, other benefits of temporary jobs are people can freely move between companies, as they do not have a permanent status. As a result of this occasion, people can get varied salaries from different companies that will increase their monthly income.

In conclusion, the adverse effects of a permanent job outweigh the benefits, especially in reducing worker’s mental health. Whereas, the advantages of having a temporary job are more than the drawbacks, as people can maintain their psychological condition and get higher salaries from more than one company.
