In recent years, there have been a controversial debate associated with the style of new construction which replaced the old one. Since it is widely believe that new houses should follow the existed style of the neiborhood, my perspective is different since I hold the belief that innovations are needed.
One of the major reasonable explanation for the maintenance of old architectures is that old architectures mostly represent for the traditional cuture and contain historical richess of an area. Architectures of old times seemingly to present the past of an area in some aspect such as daily activities, and weather conditions. Due to that, the reconstruction of these styles not only enable the locals to remember about their origins but also spread the traditions. For instance, the area of Mui Ne in VietNam, which surrounded by sea, have been remaining their local style of housing for many years to remind the traditional jobs which are fishing and salt farming.
On the other hands, the essential of innovations and adaptions in building accommodations is undeniable. As the growing demand of higher life quality, innovations play a vital role in increase safety as well as convenience. For example, to increase privacy and security of the building, people are prohibited to construct a modern lock. Moreover, innovations such as smart home automation, energy-efficient materials, and environmentally sustainable construction methods contribute to long-term comfort and reduced operational costs
In conclusion, the needed of new architectures appear to fulfill the demand of human while traditional styles contains cutural values. Meanwhile, it is not necesarry to build the same style of accommodation for the whole neiborhood and limit the creativities of the evolution. Instead, the more effective preservations for houses that had been built and remained stable until the present, the more values they could be.
