For the yang children, group of friends that they spend a lot of time with has significant influence. There are always big discussion weather parents should intervene in choosing the friends or significant others for their children or give them possibility to connect with group of friends on their own. In this essay, I will explore both views and provide my opinion the matter.
On the one hand, it is crucial for child to be independent and have possibility to differentiate good from bad. Whether it is choosing close circle pears or later spouse in life. Parents can’t be always close to child and children should be able to make decisions on their own. As early child starts to be independent in these areas it is better. Additionally, when it comes to life partners you are the only one who can identify or sense with whom your life will be better to share. Spouse is the person with whom you are sharing responsibilities, happy and sad moments, downfalls and achievements, so no one but you should decade who this person will be.
On the other hand, when you are child you don’t have a lot of experience in life, so it is hard to identify good and bad influences. The type of society that child is in, has big influence for its future. Parents influence in this case has significant role. Choosing the school, or the type of extra-curricular activities child will participate has big hand in development of yang person’s identity. Small children can’t make those decisions. Furthermore, usually children that aren’t very good looked after, are not doing good at school, it is common to use drags from early age and good future perspectives are very limited for them. Parents involvement is very important aspect of the child’s development.
In conclusion, while there are valid arguments on the both sides of the debate, I believe that parents especially at child’s early age should be involved in every decision and influence direction for their children with of course taking into consideration child’s interests and possibilities. Then as a yang adults children can harness benefits those decisions that parents made at early stage of their life.
