Band 5+: Some people think that planting trees in open spaces in cities and towns is more important than building houses. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Animals and plants have been a valuable parts of the environment for continuing of biological cycle. However, many individuals argue that planting trees in towns and cities open areas is more crucial and better rather than adding additional homes. Meanwhile, the following essay strongly agrees with the aforementioned reasons supporting this view along with relevant examples will be illustrated in the forthcoming paragraph.

Although, there are innumerable points associating with greenery, the most prevalent issues which causes environmental problems would be definite escalating problem such as global warming, Air pollution as well as soil erosion which arise from our human activities such as deforestation. Pollution, however, we might think it’s because greenhouse gas increases our daily life for instance. In recent years, China has planned the most trees globally and involved in reforestation efforts.

Furthermore, one more convincing point that cannot be ignored is to provide habitats and protect the ecosystem. In essence, plants provide food and shelter for wildlife contributing to biodiversity and this protects the ecosystem. In calling for the need to plant more trees, for example, the United Nations General Assembly enrolled the United Nations sustainable development goal to improve life quality. An effective way to do this is to plant trees and protect them

However, I would not overlook the other side too. To begin with, if we build more trees in housing plus the equal full potential challenges like housing shortage. To execute it, Housing authority should reduce the amount of available living space leading to housing shortages and homelessness. Here, build trees in housing space is a good idea, with its advantages it would be surely deal with challenges of future social, economic and structural problem.

In conclusion, it is imperative to see all the arguments presented. Although trees are of future importance themselves as building materials, the importance of these trees will not be negligible. This phenomenon does provide such significant environmental benefits such as Protect ecosystem, Provide habitat, clean air, decrease greenhouse gas and soil erosion.
