In the aiming of gaining profit from their products, a producent should consider many considerations. Some choose to produce durable products, while the others tend to produce cheap products. In this essay I will discuss both views and present my opinion that producing cheap products are the best choice.
On the one hand, in the development country where there can be found that the percentage of rich people are bigger than poor, producing long lasting product should be chosen by the producent. People with high salary prefer purchasing a good quality product to a poor one and durable products are considered as good products. When some producents want to export some tables and chairs to USA as a development country, for instance, they should make sure that their products have high level standards which can exist for a long time.
On the other hand, for a developing country that consists of lower economic demography. Their residents tend to buy affordable products to fulfil their daily needs. Although they only can afford to spend their money for cheap products, however their huge amount of population can bring more profits to the companies who can provide this kind of products. For example, Indonesia people spend their wages on Unilever’s products rather than other products with the same function from other producents, because it doesn’t cost an arm and leg,
In my opinion, affordable products can be produced both in the development and developing countries due to not all people want to spend their money to get some fancy products. They may accommodate their money for the benefit that some products can give to them. These kind products can be found not only in the good quality products that are durable but also in the cheap products. Rather than spending more their money in the pricy product with the same function, people will choose cheaper products.
In conclusion, producents in the development countries should make long lasting product and in the developing countries should create cheap products. However, I personally argue that affordable products can appeal all people in the world.
