Band 6+: Some people think that schools are too competitive and that this has a negative impact on children. Others believe the competitive environment encourages children to achieve. Discuss both these views and give your opinion

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some people assume that schools are too competitive which lead to a negative impact on children. Other people believe that the competitive environment helps and encourages children to achieve more.

On the one hand, I think that the competitive environment in schools is very important, and we have to keep it and motivate our children to achieve more in schools and study harder. For instance, the competitive environment in schools encourages the children to study more and work harder in order to achieve higher grades because of the competition between the children and their friends. The competitive environment also benefits the children when they grow up, and have to deal with the outside world. That’s why we should keep motivating the children and preserve this competitive environment.

On the other hand, many people think that this competitive environment has a negative impact on children. We can’t say that the competitive environment is only useful and not have any disadvantages. It is undeniable that too much competition in schools will lead to a negative impact on the children and dissatisfaction. For example, if there is too much competition that is beyond the ability of the children; of course it will result in a negative impact and frustration. The schools have to put limit on this competition and always motivate the students.

Overall, the competitive environment is very important for children’s benefit, and we should keep it and motivate the children. We should also limit this competition and keep it appropriate for the children ability to avoid its negative impact.
