There is a popular belief that shops that sell unhealthy food and drinks should be prohibited. I completely agree with this statement, as fast foods and drinks containing high amounts of sugar lead to serious health problems.
In recent years, due to globalization, it has become normal to see many countries importing and exporting large quantities of food and drinks. In many countries, considerable numbers of people, whether intentionally or not, are more inclined to consume fast foods, including hamburgers, KFC, and chips. The main reason for this tendency is the amount of time required to prepare such foods. Consuming foods that are believed by scientists to be detrimental to people’s health leads to several health problems. It is important to note that individuals now suffer from obesity because of the overconsumption of processed and canned foods.
In addition, it is now common to see young people aged from 15 to 20 who regularly consume large amounts of sugary drinks in many parts of the world. Perfect cases in point are Red Bull and Gorilla. Scientifically, due to their high sugar content and numerous additives, these drinks can result in a wide array of health problems, such as cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and even cancer among consumers. Uzbekistan is a good example of this trend, where people, especially youngsters, are highly likely to consume excessive amounts of these beverages. If the government in this country restricted the sales of unhealthy products, such as foods and drinks, people would lead a healthy lifestyle.
In conclusion, I fully agree with the idea of prohibiting the sales of unhealthy food and drinks because it seems to me that overconsumption of these products gives rise to health problems, like obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. This restriction is particularly important in today’s fast-evolving world, where many young people suffer from obesity.
