In today’s fast-paced world, there has been an ongoing debate about whether technological advancement has made life easier, it has made life more complicated. While some people believe that technology has simplified daily tasks and improved communication, others argue that it has increased stress and health problems . This essay will discuss both perspectives before explaining why I firmly believe that technology has made life easier.
On the one hand, proponents of technology making life easier argue that it saves time and increases productivity. The primary reason behind this belief is that modern and smart devices allow people to complete daunting tasks quickly and efficiently. For instance, people can now shop online, attend online classes, and communicate instantly through smartphones and social media platforms. As a result, individuals can manage their interpersonal relationships and professional lives more effectively.
On the other hand, critics contend that technology has made life more complicated. This is mainly because people have become overly dependent on smart devices and face issues such as cybercrime, privacy issues, and reduced face-to-face interaction. For example, many employees feel stressed because they have to sit infront of the screen for long time. This can lead to mental and physical problems such as depression, anxiety and eye problems. Consequently, technology can negatively affect social relationships with family and friends.
Despite the arguments mentioned above, I strongly believe that technology has made life easier overall. This is because it improves productivity and provides better access to information, adaptability and flexibility
