Safety is considered as an important measure, especially while driving. Setting a higher age limit to drive any vehicle can be the best way to promote road safety. But, others argue that there are other potential measures that could be implemented to improve them. I believe that increasing the minimum legal age can be one of the productive measure and there are some more that shall be considered.
Increasing the minimum legal age a bit higher could be considered an effective way to increase road safety. Firstly, older people have more maturity and better decision making skills when compared to the younger ones. To drive an automobile, the driver should have more knowledge in these things. Additionally, younger drivers are statistically met with more accidents due to their lack of experience.For instance, there is a study where a graph visualizes the average age of the drivers who is invloved in an accident. And the results concludes that most of them are old teenagers with license.
Apart from this technique, there are other measures that can be noted. Initially, stricter driving tests are essential,because these scores are considered wheather to give them the license or not. Similarly, devoloping the road condition is also one of an impactful method. Many skilled drivers are suffering to drive in these roads. Additionally, the learners should learn some basic traffic rules and symbols before even starting their driving lessons.
Finally, eventhough moving the age limit of driving cars a little further up can reduce the impact of accidents, this is not the only impactful way. Some other measures that are mentioned could also be helpful and beneficial in a good way.
