Many are of the opinion that money should be allocated to renewable energy, while others contend that fossil fuels are still in demand. This essay aims to discuss the logic behind both viewpoints and why I am more inclined towards the former.
On the one hand, those who are in favor of the view that green energy should be more focused have their own reasoning. More specifically, using renewable energy instead of fossil fuels is one of the key solutions to protect the environment. This is because the fuels, which release emissions from the combustion of its substances to produce energy, detrimentally harm air condition and exacerbate greenhouse effect, leading to climate change. In contrast, renewable energy produces no greenhouse gas emissions and reduces some types of air and water pollution. Result in improving health outcomes in our community.
On the other hand, it is also understandable why others think that fossil fuels are still in need. One of the most convincing reasons is people were getting along with these types of energy. In other words, fossil fuel generates most of the energy used for cars, engines or producing electricity. These types of energy also powers the economy as they are affordable and can be easily found, so they can propel our economy through exchange.
In conclusion, both views have their own rationales. However, on balance, I side with the view that more money should be directed into green energy resources because they improve human well-being and protect our environment.
