The expression of a developing country is that the government takes care of improving factors that are most relevant in people’s lives. Nowadays, some people think that the government should spend money to enhance the environment, while others believe that supporting artistic programs is more important. In my opinion, I agree that the government should use extra money to fund programs to make the environment better, and I will explain it in this essay.
First, protecting the environment is protecting our life. We all understand that the environment is our living space. Each of us is alive, breathing and growing thanks to the environment. So that it plays an important part for everyone, is one of the essential factors affecting our lives. But now, it is becoming more and more polluted. The forests are being destroyed, the ocean and the rivers, the water sources are being polluted and exhausted, the air is being harmful… Natural disasters, epidemic diseases,… they are serious consequences of environmental pollution that we have to face. According to tuoitre.vn, the soil pollution rate in Vietnam is 36,5%. For these reasons, the importance of protecting the environment is getting more attention.
Second, there are many programs to improve the environment due to perceptions about the importance of protecting the environment. Facing serious pollution, people are trying to make the environment better. They are conducting many projects to enhance people’s awareness and action such as planting trees, cleaning up trash, saving water and electricity… For example, in response to Environment Day, all households in Hanoi city turned off their lights in an hour. These actions are pointing out that people are strongly trying to make the environment better. If the government uses extra money to fund programs to improve the environment, the effect will be enhanced. These programs will have a huge financial source to conduct more projects. The result will become clearer.
In conclusion, I totally believe that the government should pay extra to fund environmental programs. This will not only help prevent environmental pollution, but also enhance life quality and help the country become more developed. This also shows the attention of the government to their citizens.
