Currently, there is much discussion regarding technology issues these days. It is undeniable that the technology classification levels have widened the gap between the wealthy and the poor of its people. However, the others also have an idea of the opposite effects. Both views of these contrasting views will be discussed, and my perspective will be presented in this essay. I am of the opinion that it will be a beneficial trend.
On the one hand, there are good grounds for arguing that the advanced technologies, having various effective functions, enhance the productivity of most businesses, in terms of both processes and quality. The importance of a huge amount of investments increases in the earning potential, which directly contributes to improved technological advancement. In other words, the significant industry, which has a great deal of finances, can develop the technology system more potentially than the local businesses, compared to the ubiquitous product. The result of this leads the company’s insight into the wide range of resources and facilitates the processes. Consequently, the aforementioned tendency has widened the gap considerably between the rich and the poor. In short, the rich are richer, while the poor are still poorer in the deteriorating society.
On the other hand, other people put forward the view that technology encourages equal opportunities between people in a hierarchical society. The evidence of significant technology has led to a proliferation of developing knowledge, decreasing the skills gap of its people. Moreover, currently, people can access the open sources on the internet with broadband connectivity to foster financial achievement, for free. For instance, ChatGPT is a free platform that contains big data and an AI search engine. Also, people can install on various digital platforms, such as smartphones, computers, and tablets. Therefore, the technology leverages the living standards, decreasing the unwilling financial gap status of its people. From my perspective, both sides of the argument have their merits. Nevertheless, on balance, I am inclined to believe that technology and the internet are mandatory factors for living in a rapidly globalizing world. The government should manage access to the technology widely, fostering efficient resources for people. I believe that the more technology is provided, the more knowledge is gained, and the number of poor people will eventually decrease.
Having considered both sides of the argument, the technology can cause a financial gap between people, with the impacts of access to advanced technology. However, it provides opportunities for people by broadening resources and knowledge, reducing financial limitations.
