Climate change is considered to be the most serious problem right now. And debates about whether individuals can do something to help with it or not are getting progressively heated. While some people believe that individuals should take action to help prevent global warming, others argue that action taken by individuals is useless or even irrelevant and that only governments and large businesses can make any difference. Both points deserve attention, but a combined approach is essential
On one hand, we all can agree that everyone should try to help prevent global climate change. By taking action, we can help big companies and governments to improve the situation. Everybody has to take some simple measures, such as using renewable energy, planting more trees, switching to public and electric means of transport, and not wasting materials. We can also clean up the streets to make them cleaner. On the other hand, the impact of huge companies and governments would be way more significant. Governments and corporations possess the resources to make large-scale changes. They can build affordable eco-towns, where people could live. Big companies should be able to recycle most of the waste as well. Completely switching to renewable energy would be important, cheaper, and more environmentally friendly.
In conclusion, even though individual actions are vital for raising awareness and making little progress, the main contribution must be made by the governments and businesses. I still believe that their actions are more significant and they can prevent global warming and pollution more effectively. Only with joint efforts we can improve the Global situation. To combat climate change effectively, collaboration across all levels of society is essential
