Undoubtedly, several citizens argue that e-books are greatly beneficial for society compared with conventional books, which will become extinct in the future. This essay will discuss both sides of conventional books and e-books.
On the one hand, some people believe paper books offer a unique reading experience because they can feel more connected when turning pages physically. These people assert that using paper books helps them disconnect from their phones. However, paper books also contribute to environmental issues due to paper waste and deforestation for paper production.
On the other hand, e-books are highly portable and allow users to access numerous resources on a single device. Moreover, the technology behind e-books enables people to stay updated on various topics worldwide. However, using e-books can be distracting, as users may switch to other applications on their devices.
To sum up, both paper books and e-books have distinct advantages and disadvantages, depending on personal preferences and usage. Personally, I prefer e-books over paper books because they provide quick access to updated resources and are convenient to carry in my bag.
