Accommodation is a basic need for everyone in this globe. Some people believe that the government should give free houses and some believe it is not the responsibility of the government to provide free housing infrastructure. In my perspective the government should provide free houses for its people.
On one hand, providing free houses to people is a useful program. By means of this, the underprivileged people will get a good environment to live in. In addition to that, it will also reduce the number of people sleeping on the streets at night. As a result, it helps to improve the standard of living of the individuals living in the nation, and makes people feel safe in the place where they live. Furthermore, people can live in a secure place at the time of natural calamities. Providing free houses also reduces the financial gap between affluent and impoverished people.
On the other hand, some believe that it is not the duty of the government to provide a home to reside. As it imposes a burden on the taxpayers. As a result, it will stifle the nation’s economy and budgets. In addition to that, they believe the poor handling of their income , eventually creates bad accommodation and lifestyle.
In conclusion, it has both pros and cons. But, in my opinion as citizens of a nation it is the government’s responsibility to ensure that all its citizens have a proper place to reside. If not, it should provide them a proper residence without any cost and ensure to improve the standard of living.
