Band 5+: Some people think the money spent in developing the technology for space exploration is not justified. There are more beneficial ways to spend this money. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

There is a common debate whether money spent on space exploration technology could be used on different and more important purposes, or if it is the right way to use our resources. In my opinion people should not begrudge a penny spent on this topic, in fact I think that everyone should take part in this process.

First of all, the planets that people are currently living in is in the worst conditions as possible. Every day our environment is becoming more and more polluted and nobody does anything that is enough to stop polluted air from being spread widely. Even though several companies started producing electronic cars, it is simply not available for everyone because of its price.

Furthermore, it is no secret that climate is affecting earth continuously. Wild animals are going extinct because their habitat is no longer serving the purpose, for example their isn’t any snow left in Antarctica for polar bears to survive. With the extinction of animals, people’s main source of food and vitamins are disappearing as well, causing a wide range of fall in the human body’s health.

Lastly, it is essential to spend money on developing the technology for space exploration as soon enough people might not even have a place left to live on the earth and for human race to survive their will be nothing else left than searching for other planets to live on.

Overall, I disagree with people who think that spending money on space exploration is not justified, as it might be the only way for humans to live longer than it is currently predicted.
