It is thought by some individuals that observing violence in movies tends to make people’s attitude criminalized. While this could be true in some cases, I strongly believe that factors like unhealthy communication within a family shapes the way people see crimes.
In contemporary society, abusing criminal content has become ubiquitous. Consequently, that problem has sparked off an increase in crime rate, especially if minors are involved, due to lack of maturity and life experience. For example, once Joker movie was released in the year 2021, the number of crimes skyrocketed, because the movie clearly justified violence. What is particularly noteworthy is that most of spectators do not make an allowance for the main character’s mental health problems, which definitely plays a pivotal role in his behaviour. As a result, cases of violent behaviour in the internet should be seen from different angles in order to see the bigger picture and not to make premature or biased decisions.
On the other hand, the problem of criminal attitude could stems from people’s upbringing, due to the fact that teenagers tend to spend most of their childhood as well as college life under a family roof. Parents and adults in the household are considered role models, that children should take after. However, saying that most of children interact with parents in a healthy way would be an undestatement. For instance, statistics revealed a genuine correlation between the time spent in a particular company and people’s views on a sensitive topics like crime. So, house environment has a power to fundamentally change people’s behaviour.
To conclude, abide violent movies can urge people to commit crimes, people’s family bonds have more influence on criminal behaviour.
