Nowadays, the topic about government fund allocations has become controversial. Some people are convinced that investing for life on other planets is an important subject, whereas the opponents believe that this investment is in vain because there are numerous issues on earth to tackle. From my perspective, I firmly believe that spending money to improve our own planet will bring about great benefits to humanity.
With regard to people that support the idea of migration, environmental issues on earth seem to be an impulsion to find more abundant natural resources on other planets. Environmental problems have negatively affected inhabitants on earth in many ways; for example, destruction of animals’ habitats from global warming and health problems in humans from air pollution. Nevertheless, investing on this matter can have an exorbitant cost, which means the government will have less money to support other schemes.
As for the opponents, the well-being related problems such as poverty and inadequate welfare are more essential compared to other schemes. This is because populations in many parts of the world have lost opportunities to pursue education and career due to the absence of governmental support. In this way, the supporters of this notion are encouraging the government to allocate more money onto policies that provide efficient solutions for vulnerable individuals.
In conclusion, moving to other planets is driven by environmental issues on earth, while addressing problems on earth focuses on human’s life quality. In my opinion, the government should spend more on imminent problems regarding wellness that the world’s citizens are encountering.
