There has been much discussion revolving around the issue of whether investing money on life investigation in other planets is more important than investing it on saving planet earth. In this essay, I wil elucidate why earth is so far our best chance and discovering other inhabitants is less important when we can save the one we are currently living in.
The merits of spending more money on improving earth-life are apparent. I think I prove my point just by stating the lives of millions who still live on earth. Eventhough, most of these people did not appreciate the valuable chance of living on the best possible planet, and harmed their environment in every possible way. Afterall, the situation can be controlled and turned to a healthier environment. For example, more plans can be settled in order to decrease the green house effect, like encouraging people to use less cars and more of other non plutant vehicles such as bikes. Moreover, by the help of a great population of people, forests can be brought back and so the fresh air. Consequently, if everything goes as it planned, we would never even have the slightest idea about leaving our beloved earth.
In contrast, some people may claim that natural disasters may happen, like the ones that dianasours went through, so keeping that in mind, it would not be a nonesence and a waste of money to search for other inhabitants, just in case our planet gets wrecked. Therefore I think that would be a good idea to devote partially to research and investigating for a suitable place.
Having considered both views, I think saving out for our current planet is of overriding importance. Also, I would suggest that the governments allocate money partly to space investigations. Some day we might actually need that.
