Some people believe that arts education is as significant as other subjects among young students. I firmly agree with this viewpoint because arts, music, and drama allow a student to gain a deeper understanding of their studies, and it enables their education to become more enjoyable.
One of the reasons that I agree to the fact that arts education is as necessary as other subjects like mathematics or history is because when students are young, their minds are just developing. Colorful arts and catchy music help them to unlock their hidden talents and make education more effective and easier to learn. On one hand, young students do not feel forced to study complex materials, as bright colors and music make it more appealing to them. They can study for consecutive sessions and can remember necessary details more easily.
On the other hand, by learning arts and related subjects, they gain an understanding of their abilities which helps them pursue their passions in the long run easily and efficiently. Many musicians and rappers of our generation practiced music from an early stage. Ed Sheeran was motivated by his music teacher to follow his passion, even though he thought that his voice was not good enough to go after a music career. Furthermore, students who join drama clubs get to socialize with other students, which reduces their social anxiety. They perform plays in front of an audience, which prepares them for public speaking in the future. Overall, arts education prepares the students to work for their dreams and follow their passion.
In conclusion, I strongly agree with the fact that for primary-level students, arts education is as vital as their academic subjects.
