Band 5+: Some schools have restricted the use of mobile phones. Is this a positive development or a negative one?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It was often observed that most of the schools banned the mobile phones across the world. While these devices will surely distract the student and effects their path in many ways. I think there will growth positively on both academic and physical states of student by implementing this rule in schools.

Restricting phone use in the classroom can help the student to improve learning. Students pay attention towards teacher while teaching whereas the phones will disturb that concentration on using them in classroom. For example, in India most of the schools won’t allow cell phones usage because of the disciplinary rules that were made to make sure both teacher and student involve in the lecture without any distractions. Using phones in classrooms will definitely effect the academic results and leads to downfall of grades. The total ban of phones in class will improve the focus on learning.

On the other hand, in school the physical activities play vital role on the students, not making them using phones will help them improving health and social skills. For instance, many researches done my scientists on pupils showed the positive result towards health conditions and communications skills on those who use phones less than an hour per day compared to those usage was more than four hours on average. Maintaining the physical health and social aspects should right from schooling especially age group below 15 years, having phones will undoubtedly decrease their achievements even in sports etc.

In conclusion, avoiding phones in the school and maintaining certain laws and rules on this issue will guide the students into right path, despite the phones are part of modern life, I strongly feel to keep phones usage limited in school.
