Band 7+: Some scientists think that computers will soon become more intelligent than humans. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, many scientists believe that technology, such as computers or robots, will become more powerful-minded or smarter than individuals. However, others think that computers will never replace our human minds. In this statement, I’ll discuss both sides.

On the one hand, our technology is continually developing, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, which includes computer applications. Many people use this equipment for finding information. And on the computer, you’ll find safer and faster information, because inside the computers, we have many functions for finding information, such as artificial intelligence, the internet, and so on. For instance, people cannot use their own ideas. I hope that the internet will find information easily. Sometimes people do not want to think their own thoughts. In addition, most individuals are really addicted to social media, technology, and AI. So this is the main reason that people will not develop their brains and will not increase their intelligence. So scientists believe that computers will replace our minds; furthermore, people get information from the internet.

On the other hand, computers cannot compare with human concepts, minds, and educational skills. In the past, there were many inventors who created things on their own. Furthermore, the past was a different condition. We didn’t have any technologies or anything else, such as light, equipment, computers, and much more. Smart people from the past really influence us for a better future. They created their own ideas, critical thinking, and creative abilities. The human mindset is capable of everything. We have many things that are developing. Individuals are more creative than computers with our ideas. We have created computers, technologies, and so on. For instance, in the 19th century, people created many things, and we have been using them. Society is created by its own ideas, critical thinking on theory, and analysis. Additionally, we put information, ideas, and discoveries inside the computer. They were created by people; people change everything with their mindset due to creativity and optimism. Overall, people’s intelligence is higher than that of a computer. Computers do not have skills like people. In conclusion, a lot of scientists assume that people are more creative than computers. However, if the computers have more information, that means their intelligence is higher than ours.
