Some teachers think that international student exchange would be beneficial for all teenage school students. Although there are some disadvantages, I believe that the advantages of studying in another country are greater because students can learn about different cultures and become more independent.
Firstly, international student exchange can give teenagers many useful experiences. Students can improve their foreign language because they have to communicate with local people every day. They can also learn about the culture, traditions and lifestyle of another country. For example, a student from Azerbaijan who studies in Germany can practise German and learn more about German culture. As a result, students can become more confident and open-minded.
However, there are also some disadvantages of international exchanges. The main problem is that some teenagers may feel lonely because they are far from their family and friends. In addition, living in another country can be expensive for parents. Students may also have problems with language or adapting to a different school system. Nevertheless, these difficulties can help teenagers become more responsible and independent.
In conclusion, international student exchange has both advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages because students can improve their language skills, learn about other cultures and develop independence. Therefore, I think international exchange programmes can be very useful for teenage school students.
