In the modern era with the development of educational quality, some colleges provide virtual courses as another option for in-person classes. This essay will analyze both views and provide an opinion at the end of the essay.
At the start, online learning could be more comfortable for students in some ways. Firstly, digital education allows learners to access materials at home and according to their own schedule. They can entrance to a wide range of courses with various learning platforms, conquer the challenge of space and time, so learning can be done from anywhere with an internet connection. Moreover, online courses are often more affordable than traditional on-campus classes. Due to the flexibility of E-learning, online courses usually don’t require in-person facilities and services. Therefore, students can save on travel and other related costs.
On the other hand, digital education are not without their drawback. Based on this viewpoint, one of the most dramatic disadvantages is the lack of face-to-face interaction. Online learning reduces the opportunities for in-person contact between teachers and learners, leading to a gap of communication skills. Additionally, classes delivered on campus offer vital soft skills that online courses can’t handle. Study at school will have numerous challenge that students have to cope with to improve their mental skills. Because of that, digital education will limit student’s chances to strengthen their soft skills.
In my perspective, although both online learning and digital learning have their own benefits, I lean towards on-campus classes not only due to my weak eyes and my lack of discipline but also on account of the advantages school provides to students.
