Band 5+: Some young people are leaving their country and leave only old people in the country. What problems are caused by this issue? What can be done to solve this situation?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In contemporary society, increasing number of young people leave their own country and only old people remain in country. It can lead to some issues related to industry and paucity of human resource in these countries. Also old people can face some challenges when they need special care related to their health and age as they have distance with their young relatives such as their sons and daughters or their niece and nephews. Offering attractive opportunities to young people and enhancing their life and career satisfaction in their own countries, governments can stimulate young people to live and work in their own countries.

Nowadays, many work places are looking for qualified staff to both contribute to the development of their industry and provide good service for citizens. Especially, they are search for young people who have completed their education in outstanding universities and had enough experience in their field. However, as young people choose to live in abroad and continue their career in those places, many industries from education to health, or economy face the lack of competent workers. Consequently ,it have resulted in poor quality of service for people in countries which lose their young citizens continually. On the other hand, old people who are leaved by their children or their young relatives in their own country, experience the hardships of loneliness. They are depend on other people’s help when they are sick or lose the ability to look after themselves. For example, in Ganja, where many young people have moved to Russia or other countries to work, the are insufficient number of doctors which cause the doctors to make more errors as they are perplexed by busy schedules and excess patients. Also, there are many old women in there who are assisted by their neighbors with food or other needs when they are sick, as they live alone.

Governments can take some steps to prevent this trend, such as increasing the number of activities which young people are curious about or they can offer more reasonable career opportunities than available ones. Indeed ,Young people care about their interests nowadays more than past. They like to attend activities like sports, music or art. In addition, there some young people who like to participate in activities which many people do not used to still. For instance, climbing, surfing or other strange activities attract young people in recent times. Accordingly, increasing the accessibility of those activities for young people and enriching their qualities, can help to change those people’s tendency to move other places. Moreover, career opportunity is another factor which can affect their decision. Providing suitable working environment for people, governments can change their mind. For example, in one survey which conducted in Canada, the Arabian girl stated that she moved to here as she was not able to maintain her living standards in her own country, which used to provide her worse amusement and work environment than Canada.

Generally, young people prefer to leave their countries for some general and individual reasons nowadays. Several issues which is caused by this trend can be tackled by government taking proper measures.
